the bridge between eras

in 2018, immediately following the release of changing colors, i went back into the studio to map out what would have been my third album.

these three songs were the foundation of that next chapter.
massive, anthemic tracks, written to be played loud.

for reasons that had nothing to do with music, i walked away from the project and put basement alchemy into hibernation for a while. the album never took shape, and these songs were shelved, tucked away on a hard drive, untouched.

until now.

this EP captures that moment when everything felt wide open, restless, and full of motion. it lives between eras, not unfinished, just preserved exactly as it was.
